Dr. Arielle Schwartz is a clinical psychologist, author, speaker, and founder of the Center for Resilience Informed Therapy in Boulder, Colorado. Her work promotes a strength-based, embodied approach to trauma recovery and post-traumatic growth. Drawing on EMDR, somatic psychology, mindfulness-based therapies, and relational psychotherapy, she developed Resilience Informed Therapy as an integrative model for recovery from childhood trauma, PTSD, complex PTSD, and dissociation. Her private practice is currently closed while she focuses on teaching, writing, and public education. She has taught therapeutic yoga since 2008 and has authored numerous books on trauma recovery, somatic therapy, applied Polyvagal Theory, and mind-body approaches to healing.
